TELLConsult summer 2017 activities

TELLConsult’s key activities these past months were mostly related to the current EU grant ErasmusPlus  programmes KA1 and KA2 and included:

  • Contributing to the dissemination and exploitation of the EU project 'Interactive Teaching in Languages with Technologies' iTILT (2014 -2017) on the use of mobile and interactive classroom technologies.


  • In addition to promoting the project on various social media we ran a workshop on the use of student  response systems and formative assessment at the project’s second multiplier event at Antwerp university. For more information about this seminar see

Webinar on EU project iTILT2 results and progress well attended

iTILT partners Shona Whyte (NICE University, France) and Ton Koenraad (TELLConsult, Netherlands) successfully ran the highly interactive online webinar "Interactive Teaching in Languages with Technologies" on Monday 21 November hosted by Jürgen Wagner (Landesinstitut für Pädagogik und Medien Saarland, Germany).


The international event was most appreciated by more than some 160 colleagues present.

involved in a number of activities this summer: ​
 
 
M-Lang project multiplier event
As associate partner TELLConsult got invited by the EU project M-lang to attend their 5 day workshop “Interactive Exchange Workshop on how to use response systems and ICT tools for creating interactive learning” at Patras, Greece, in October 2016.

The M-Lang project http://histproject.no/node/903 is about mobile enhanced tools and approaches for innovative language learning and assessment. It is part of the HiST project

Tellconsult's representative, Ton Koenraad, contributed to the dissemination of the Camelot project at a number of events and conferences lately. As announced in the February issue of Camelot's Newsletters he was invited speaker presenting on the potential of 3D virtual worlds at the well attended (n >650),  biannual conference for Dutch teachers of French

Together with Patrick de Boer, a math teacher at the data partner school for the Camelot CLIL pilots, we also presented at the bi-annual national conference for Dutch teachers of English , entitled ‘English Education for International

TELLConsult's latest EU project related dissemination activities

Invited by the organisers of the  Dutch section of the EU Association Européenne des Enseignants (AEDE) Ton Koenraad (TELLConsult) presented at their annual conference on the educational potential of 3D platforms for telecollaborative learning & internationalisation at Home. 

In this context the CAMELOT Project was referred to when he highlighted the potential of developing intercultural competences by having international student teams produce Machinima. For an impression of the ambience and audience check out this brief videoclip.

EU projects Camelot & Euroversity disseminated at recent Dutch events

Had interesting opportunities to share information about the Euroversity and Camelot projects the past month. The first chance was at the annual conference of the Dutch national Association for language professionals 'Levende Talen'  

The event in Utrecht was 

well attended, as usual. I distributed flyers during breaks and was contacted by various interested teachers.


Marja Ritterfeld, a member of the German department,  was very much interested in 3Dvideo-based materials to support German literature highlights and invited me to run a workshop at the AEDE conference in February 2015.

Webinar on EU projects for Interactive Whiteboard teacher training

Not long after we had started advertising our EU fundable courses on IWB training for inservice training in Valencia I got invited by Jürgen Wagner to contribute to a most interesting, free access Webinar programme for the federal State Institute for Pedagogy and Media Pädagogy in Saarbrücken (Germany). We submitted the following proposal:

iTILT project ended: impressive impact figures!

The iTILT project finished this weekend and the final report was duly delivered to the EU commission. Just a few data from the final report to show how successful the results are on the disseminateion front (also testifying how proud partners are on the project outcomes and results):

The iTILT-website www.itilt.eu had 18,545 visits of 10,721 unique visitors and 42.3% returning visitors up to the end of June.
