EU project Camelot evaluated

CAMELOT stands for "CreAting Machinima Empowers Live Online Language Teaching and Learning". It is a 2-year EU funded project for language educators to learn how to create videos (machinima) in virtual worlds. (Dec 2013-Nov 2015).

This week the project team was informed by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA)  on behalf of the European Commission that the final report submitted by the project has been evaluated. The external evaluators, commissioned to support the commission in this, arrived at a very satisfactory global score of 8 out of 10.

TELLConsult invited to do the external evaluation of EU project PETALL

As TELLConsult was invited to be the external evaluator in the EU project 'Pan European Task Activities for Language Learning' (PETALL) we attended the project's kick-off meeting, early July at Faro University, Portugal. 

In his presentation the project coordinator, Antonio Lopes, summarised the project as follows:
 
PETALL is an LLP transversal KA2 project, funded by the European Commission that aims to encourage the use of ICT-based tasks in the language classroom.

iTILT project evaluated

The final report on the iTILT project on IWBs in language education has received a 9 out of 10 score, for which the Executive Agency responsible for Lifelong Learning Projects has congratulated the wholeteam on this “excellent achievement”.  The evaluators rated multi-lingual website www.itilt.eu “of very good quality” for its combination of “several important and well-resourced functions: as a resource for materials with immediate application in classroom setting, awareness raising components with practical tips and suggestion for use and a teaching (tutorial)
